Do you have a hard time fitting the world of the Bible into the history of the world?  Want to know more about what was going on in the world at the time of the Old and New Testaments? Find out what ancient written language has to do with Moses and what exactly won't pass away even if heaven and earth do?  (Hint, it's not necessarily the written Bible) (have you ever thought about the fact that the written Bible... is a part of earth?)

Corrections!...:
I always mess up "the ages"... The Bronze Age was followed by the Iron Age, not the other way around.
Jesus was most likely born around 3 or 4 BC, not AD.

No Seriously, why with all the nonsense??  More about the written English language, a short history of English and maybe some reasons to hate written English a little bit less.  Maybe.

This is the first of our tiny summer linguistics series, all about written language.

Where did our English alphabet come from?  Wasn't there something about the Phoenicians?  Why do we have so many different kinds of spellings?  Who is responsible for that trash.

The Bible is...

So many things.  Simple and filled with truth.  Pretty foreign and difficult to fully understand.  Sometimes you just need a little more info to really understand a concept, or context of a word, passage, book, or idea.  This podcast is just to add to your arsenal of tools to help you understand the Bible.
